To deal with the pervasive problem of spam and viruses transmitted via email, Castle Web maintains several layers of defense, including:
- Specially configured mail gateways that scan all incoming and outgoing email traffic for spam based on header information, body information, source IP address, and sender address
- Blocking of dangerous attachments, which includes all executable content
- Bayesian filtering of spam at the account level to provide greater control to users
The anti-spam filters are updated throughout the day. Any domain or IP address range that spams an account under Castle Web management will be added to the permanent block list. There are no exceptions.
Note: We block spam sources aggressively and without apology. If you find yourself unable to email someone we support, contact them outside of email and provide them with the complete error message you received. We will adjust the filters to accommodate your email.
