E-mail and Mailing Lists

Castle Web offers e-mail aliases, e-mail accounts, and e-mail mailing lists.

An e-mail alias is an e-mail address that forwards to another e-mail account. If you already have an e-mail account that you use, an e-mail alias is an ideal tool to get e-mail from your new web site.
An e-mail account is a mail box on a mail server. You connect to a Castle Web mail server using any POP3 or IMAP mail client to retrieve your e-mail. Castle Web e-mail accounts are limited to 10 MB of storage and can receive messages up to 5 MB in size. Larger mailboxes are available for an additional fee.
An e-mail mailing list is an automated tool that lets you send an e-mail message to a list of recipients. A mailing list is a great way to keep in touch with all your customers at once.

E-mail Aliases (10 Pack)
Price: $10 setup, $10 a month
Each pack of 10 e-mail aliases is available for a small monthly fee. You decide where the alias forwards and can change it using our automated, web-based tools.
POP3/IMAP/WebMail E-mail Accounts
Price: $5 setup, $5 a month
True e-mail accounts are available for a small monthly fee. Your e-mail is safely housed on the Castle Web mail server and can be retrieved from anywhere in the world using your Internet access provider. IMAP accounts also provide web-based access. You can use Castle Web mail servers to send mail using authenticated SMTP, or use your ISP. Rigorous anti-spam gateways keep unwanted mail from your company's network, and up-to-the-minute anti-virus software protects your employees and your network from dangerous viruses. Additional disk space is available for $5 per 10 MB per month.
Mailing Lists
Price: $25 setup, $25 a month
A mailing list is a powerful tool that you can use to communicate with your customers. Your mailing list can be configured to be open to the public or open only to the people you want. Each mailing list supports up to 500 subscribers. Additional subscribers can be added for $5 per month for each block of 500. All Castle Web mailing lists are automatically configured to send an opt-in confirmation message to users who subscribe to a list. This prevents people from being signed up without their consent and is an essential and required step in running any mailing list.

Anti-Spam Features
All incoming and outgoing e-mail is subjected to rigorous anti-spam tests, including subject and message body content analysis, source IP analysis against several public and private realtime black hole lists (RBLs), and sender name and domain analysis. These filters are updated frequently, often more than once per day. These filters are in place to protect Castle Web users from receiving spam and they will not be removed. If you find that incoming e-mail is being blocked, contact Castle Web for support. If you need an unfiltered e-mail account, we can add your account to our list of addresses that accept any incoming e-mail, or you can obtain an e-mail address from a provider such as Hotmail.

Special Note About Spamming
Castle Web maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding spam (unsolicited bulk or commercial e-mail). Spamming from a Castle Web resource will result in immediate termination of service without refund. Spam delivered using another server that advertises a service hosted by Castle Web will result in immediate termination of service without refund. All services will be terminated for a spammer, including DNS. NO EXCEPTIONS. NO WARNINGS.
