Spam

Acceptable Use Policy

The following activities constitute unacceptable use and are grounds for immediate termination of service:

Illegal Activities
Activities illegal in Ohio or the United States, including, but not limited to, unauthorized distribution or copying of copyrighted software, images, or text; violation of U.S. export restrictions; harassment; fraud; trafficking in obscene material; drug dealing; and other illegal activities.
Net Abuse
Net abuse, including, but not limited to, sending unsolicited commercial e-mail ("spam"), using a non-existent or forged e-mail return address in an e-mail that advertises a service hosted at Castle Web, or attempting to gain access to secured parts of a computer system without authorization. Castle Web reserves the right to determine what constitutes net abuse.
Defamation
Posting defamatory, scandalous, or private information about a person without their consent; intentionally inflicting emotional distress; or violating trademarks, copyrights, or other intellectual property rights.
System Abuse
Misuse of system resources, including, but not limited to, excessive consumption of system resources; permitting use of services other than for the customer's own account; or resale of access to CGI scripts installed on our servers. CGI scripts with errors will be disabled until the customer can correct the problem.
Adult Content
Hosting or transmission of adult related material, including, but not limited to, pornographic pictures, banners, text, or any other content that Castle Web deems unacceptable. Content considered pornographic will be deleted without notice.

Castle Web reserves final judgement on the nature of the content hosted within its network and reserves the right to terminate service to any customer for any reason, or for no reason, at any time and without prior notice.

Special Note About Spamming
Castle Web maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding spam (unsolicited bulk or commercial e-mail). Spamming from a Castle Web resource will result in immediate termination of service without refund. Spam delivered using another server that advertises a service hosted by Castle Web will result in immediate termination of service without refund. All services will be terminated for a spammer, including DNS. NO EXCEPTIONS. NO WARNINGS.
